As a strong, respected Major & a devoted father, he survived and endured over thirty years of military service. He successfully managed both emotional and physical troubles throughout his life, spurred on by the motivation to protect his country and bring food home for his beloved wife & children. After the tragic fall of SaiGon, he was sent to the re-education camp against his own will. As the endless days passed by, he was forced to do difficult labor work and was given small portions of water, rice and salt at each meal. Due to lack of nutrition and medical care, he caught an incurable illness at the time and was released from the camp. Several months after, he died peacefully in the comfort of his home with his family by his side. Although he is no longer with us, his courageous spirit and loving heart will remain in our souls forever.
Following the footsteps of our father's military career, our uncle answered his call of duty to fight for his country at the moment he grew old enough to fulfill the military requirements. As a loving father and a strong-minded Major, he fought many battles during his military life. However, his last fight was at the Bong Son battle in April 1972, dying to secure peace and freedom for South Vietnam. To the loss of his family, his body perished on the cold grounds of Bong Son and was never recovered. He will forever remain in our hearts to this day.
Our dear oldest brother, the valiant red beret who served his country with great honor and pride, sacrificed his life for the freedom of his people on the top of the 31st Hill at the gory battle of Ha Lao.
Our second oldest brother greatly inspired by my eldest brother's courage and dignity fiercely fought to protect his country and preserve the freedom of his people. This young, devoted soldier sacrificed his life at the city of Thu Duc - one of many final gruesome battles immediately following the dreaded fall of SaiGon.

In memory of our heroes - Father, uncle, and 2 brothers who made the ultimate sacrifice, giving their lives on the battlefields of the Viet Nam war.
